On March 8,Ma Jing，director of National Shanghai Center for Drug Safety Evaluation and Research (NCDSER), obtained the Ninth "Shanghai Women's Innovation Award" and title of “Woman Worker Pacesetter”, in the 106th Anniversary of the International Working Women's Day Conference held by Shanghai Women's Federation.
As chairwoman of Toxicology Committee of Chinese Pharmacological Society and Shanghai Pharmacology Toxicology Committee, and senior expers of CFDA GLP as well as new drug evaluation expert, Ma Jing, working as the director of NCDSER, undertook over 20 national or provincial projects, guided to establish 51 drug safety evaluation methods. Now the NCDSER has become the evaluation institution with most GLP certificates at home and abroad. It finished safety evaluations for 572 new drugs, and made contributions to drug R&D process in China.
In recent years, she led her team to take the lead in modeling the target organ toxicity evaluation system, carcinogenicity testing method as well as inhalation agents pre-clinical safety evaluation system in line with the GLP condition. These achievements filled many domestic blanks and even reached the international advanced level.
Director Ma had also won the titles of National Labor Medal, Special Government Allowances of the State Council and Shanghai Leading Talent.
Shanghai Women's Innovation Award is aim at recognition of outstanding women who have made major innovation and remarkable achievements in the fields of science, education, culture and health as well as social construction.
