October 30 to November 2, 2012, the Sinopharm's delegation participated in the 13th Annual Conference of Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network (DCVMN), which was held in Indonesia. Wu Yonglin, vice president of CNBG, was elected as new session member of the Steering Committee.
Representatives from the WHO, GAVI, UNICEF, PAHO, main foundations, internationally renowned research institutions and nearly 30 vaccine manufacturers, discussed topics including WHO pre-qualifications, international procurement, market situations, quality management, technology transfer, and issues such as influenza preparedness framework, cooperation mechanisms and opportunities, and so on.
The participating representatives from manufacturers also discussed DCVMN strategic planning, and elected a new session of the Steering Committee. As a committee member, Wu Yonglin, introduced the overviews of CNBG, and express the willingness of service to other manufacturers, for the common targets of DCVMN.In the panel discussion, Yang Lingjiang, International Trade Manager of CDIBP, introduced the JE pre-qualification program as well as the challenges confronting manufacturers in the pre-certification and international procurement.During the meeting, delegations of Sinopharm discussed existing and potential future cooperation projects with the relevant organizations and institutions.
