On April 25th, 2017, the Sinopharm Chemical Pharmaceuticals Internationalization Symposium was held in Shenzhen, fulfilling the requirements by the Group’s general work meeting earlier this year and aiming to promote the internationalization of Sinopharm’s chemical pharmaceuticals.
The Director of the Group’s Department of International Cooperation first introduced the current progress and the major targets of internationalization program in the 13th Five-year Plan. The tasks for the year 2017 were laid out as well.
The strategic thinking and experience of chemical pharmaceuticals internationalization were shared by representatives from Sinopharm Shyndec, Sinopharm Zhijun, Sinopharm Weiqida and Sinopharm International, from the perspective of domestic planning and overseas market exploring. Xu Ming, Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE), and Luo Xielong, Vice President of China Pharmaceutical Enterprise Management Association, attended the symposium on invitation and put forward valuable advice and suggestions for this cause. Representatives all expressed their willingness and resolution to actively participate in the building of Sinopharm’s integrated operation platform.
Guan Yunpeng, Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation from CCCMHPIE, Hu Xinhua, Deputy Director of Quality Control Deparment from Sinopharm Zhijun, and Mo Fei, Director of Overseas Registration Department from Sinopharm Zhijun lectured to the attendees on overseas registration and certification.
In her concluding remarks, Shi Shengyi, Vice President of Sinopharm Group, emphasized that internationalized operation was a compulsory choice at current stage. She proposed three requirements for this work: Firstly, all enterprises should attach great importance to internationalization which is both the requirement from the Group and also the need generated from within each enterprise for development; Secondly, the program of internationalization in the 13th Five-year Plan should be translated to practical work by all; Lastly, resources within the Group should be integrated so as to improve the integrated operation platform and to go global collectively.
Representatives from Sinopharm International, Sinopharm Shyndec and its affiliated manufacturing enterprises, and Sinopharm Investment Company attended the symposium chaired by Ding Haiyun, Director of Department of International Cooperation from Sinopharm Group.
