Another major symptom of inner ear disease is vertigo and balance disorder. The purpose of drug therapy is to control symptoms so as to alleviate suffering of patients, prevent or reduce attacks. When vertigo attacks, besides general treat such as bed rest, reducing the stimuli of light, sound and others, minimizing the head activities, patient could take the following drug treatments (best muscular or intravenous administration): ① anticholinergic drugs, such as scopolamine; ② antihistamines drugs, such as diphenhydramine; ③ calcium antagonists, such as nimodipine; ④ inner ear microcirculation improving drugs, such as 5% ~ 7% sodium bicarbonate solution; ⑤antiemetic drugs, such as difenidol; ⑥ vestibular function inhibitors, such as diazepam; ⑦ vitamins, such as vitamin A, E, B1, B6, C and so on as supplementary medication. |
