Yesterday, the production base of Enalapril Folic Acid Tablet, new drug of class 1 developed by Shenzhen Aosa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. went into production in Shenzhen Hi-Tech Industrial Park. The reporter learned that the production line will first produce Enalapril Folic Acid Tablet, the first approved new chemical drug of class 1 since 2006 with independent intellectual property rights owned by Shenzhen Aosa. Wang Rong, Acting Mayor of Shenzhen, attended the ceremony for the completion of the construction. He expressed the hope that Shenzhen Aosa can develop more innovative drugs and lead the future of bio-pharmaceutical industry.
According to the third survey of the cause of death in residents of China in 2008, stroke has become the first cause of death. Doc. Liu Lisheng, chairman of International Hypertension Union and professor of Beijing Fuwai Hospital said that it is a milestone achievement for the independent innovation of new drug in China as 97.4% of drugs in the market are generic drugs.
At present, Shenzhen Aosa responds positively to the initiative put forward by Professor Wang Longde, chairman of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and Professor Liu Lisheng, chairman of the International Society of Hypertension to start the 230 programme for stroke prevention aiming at scientific management of 2% high-risk group and reducing the incidence of stroke by 30%.
